G+_Adam Schweitzer
My 450 quad crash for your viewing pleasure... Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ Any idea what happened here, I have my thoughts but I'm not sure.
G+_Rob Yesta
Nose dive? Center of gravity past point of self leveling. VRS?
G+_Adam Schweitzer
I was thinking that it was the center of gravity past self leveling too. Was using a 5000mAh 4S battery and the GoPro was mounted on the underside of the frame. I guess I learned my lesson not to fly so aggressive with this flight setup. G+_610GARAGE
How was your battery level. Maybe, your battery couldn't provide enough power and voltages dropped to low, causing your flight controller to reset. I had this happen to me before with a battery that couldn't provide enough current.
G+_Adam Schweitzer
This was a brand new battery with a 60C rating. I also had a battery alarm on it, which never sounded, but who knows, that could be a possibility.
G+_Eddie Hughes
I wouldn't think it would be the self level, the 450 was tilted forward and then rolled over to the right. Are you flying the KK board? I've had mine tilted that far and the self level snaps it backwards...I could be wrong though, I was thinking it was something else but not sure what... G+_Jeff Brand
I wonder if it's related to that wobble that seemed to happen throughout the flight.. Perhaps it was a self level or other accelerometer glitch that finally over corrected into the ground.
G+_Michael Heinz
Any chance your battery came loose? There were definitely a couple of beeps at the moment you lost control.
G+_Adam Schweitzer
It was a KK board. Most of the wobble is actually from YouTube processing, forgot to turn that feature off. Battery was secured very well with heavy duty Velcro strips and was balanced before flight. The battery itself weighs almost 650g, and with the GoPro, I had a lot of weight on it. It had to be the self leveling I'm sure.
G+_Michael Heinz
Was auto-level turned on? I've had experiences where turning it on in mid flight caused a crash.
G+_Adam Schweitzer
Self-leveling was on. I could see how that could happen though.
G+_Adam Schweitzer
One last video for now of what a successful flight looks like. This is the highest I've ever flown, not that I need or want to go much higher. Same setup as the crash video.
G+_Chris Schoblocher
To me it looks like you lost a motor or esc. I have seen that type of movement when one motor cuts out.
