Just bought my very first Android device (a B&N Nook Tablet). Last night, after messing around for a few hours, I rooted it and installed CyanogenMod 10. This morning I updated to CM10.1 (Jelly Bean 4.2.2) and installed a few apps and widgets.

What should I do next?! I need a better app for watching TWiT, and beyond that, I'm open to anything.

I experienced some issues with endless restarts, but once I realized what I was doing wrong it was relatively easy. The key is to get the right images for your device - they're different for the 8gb vs. 16gb, Nook Tablet vs. Nook Color, etc. I installed Clockwork Mod v6 to root the Nook, then I used it to install CWM10. That's where I ran into the endless restart issue; if that happens you, you have to do a factory reset/factory wipe, AND wipe the device cache as well as the dalvik cache. Once I finally figured that part out, I was able to boot into CM10 (ICS). From there there's an option to upgrade CM, so I upgraded to CM10.1 (Jelly Bean). Also, you have to install the Google apps (mainly the Play Store) seperately from CM, so make sure you get the right version. The CM website has a listing.

Ya might want to put a screen grabber on their too! I just went to the Twit wiki, there are a half-dozen watcher apps to try. I picked the top o the list, and works ok for me on pc. Now that Hangouts are rolling out as HD, i wont b surprised to see Twit.tv bcast live over an always-on HD Hangout, right here in River City!

I use DogCatcher. Is very customizable, can be used to grab RSS, setup categories, video/audio/news and on.f To tell the truth I don't have any idea if you can watch live casts with it. Never.

Another good player is BSPlayer Free. I link DogCatcher's Videos to it. You can setup swipe controls for volume, scrubbing, jump and such. it has a pop out window which is realizable and has adjustable playback speed. It will probable do the streaming as it does YouTube, again haven't tried.

Another thing is I know TWIT.TV has a just updated their live stream system.
