G+_Steve C
So RoboLinux runs all Windows software programs? I doubt that's really true. How does it do that? Also why do you have to pay them to download it? That seems like a scam, isn't it supposed to be free since it's Linux? And it's not $4.99, it's $80! That's definitely a SCAM! G+_Felipe Rosario
No really SCAM,, check the website i using robolinux right now and i pay $4.99 like a 2 month ago i love this program, When i need to run a windows 7 programs i change to fast less then 2 second like office project only run in windows. 70% i run linux app and 30% in windows programs. G+_Felipe Rosario
The programmer or the owner of Robolinux did a special for download for $4.99 i did read the forum or the video in the site
G+_Steve C
On the website they say: "Robolinux runs many times faster than any Windows OS. It also runs Windows programs flawlessly and natively inside its 3D desktop which increases the speed with which you can operate your PC or laptop in our rock solid Linux partition that is 100% virus & malware free"! That's a lie since there's no way a VM running one OS inside another can be faster! I think John Martinson is probably a con artist and I bet he has a police record for fraud. G+_Steve C
Well it's not $4.99 now so it doesn't matter how well it works or if the founder is a crook because nobody is ever going to try it for $80!
G+_Felipe Rosario
I guest i lost $4.99 to robolinux but i love the way this program run if you do want to try is ok. I don't post anything used or trust. by the way watch the video and the TECH support is great. I ask a question i the forum and got the answer back in 1 hr i can't get that from windows 7 Thanks
G+_Steve C
If they provide a demo to try for free maybe we will try it. Where does it get Windows though, do you have to buy a copy of Windows too? Also, does this run as a VM in Windows or does Windows run as a VM in it? G+_Felipe Rosario
i own a copy windows 7/64 when i got my new laptop, yes is run linux and the VM for Windows. they have a live CD. Robolinux provides Windows 7 32 & 64 one click self expanding 100 GB VM installers. Then you simply load your Microsoft licensed copy of Windows into the VM of your choice. These easy instructions will guide you through the process so it will be 100% successful for you. These one file Windows 7 VM's are 100% compatible with all Windows software. They run seamlessly and are sand boxed inside Robolinux, so you cannot get a virus ever!. You can even run Linux apps on top of Windows. You can also share and transfer files between Windows and Linux or vice versa, i can try to contact the owner of robolinux and see what happen. i got lucky and buying just for $4.

G+_Steve C
You found an old version to try? Is that anything like the current version 7.3?
G+_Felipe Rosario
i run 7.3 right now
G+_Steve C
You should try 7.1.8 and tell us how it compares since nobody is going to pay $80 for the new verson! It takes 3 hrs. to download though since they are really slow!

G+_Steve C
I emailed the RoboLinux folks asking about their incredible claims and they replied that you shouldn't run video games or video editing software so apparently not everything will work. G+_Steve C
I downloaded the live iso and made a DVD to try it on my Thinkpad T61. While it runs Linux pretty well it's slow running off the disc and there doesn't seem to be any way to install it on the hard drive. What's worse is that it doesn't see the wi-fi adapter so there's no internet connectivity and I can't find a way to get to any hardware settings to configure it! It's an interesting version of Linux but otherwise it's complete rubbish! Maybe the old version is crippled so all the features don't work? G+_Steve C
In comparison Android 4.3 was easy to install and works great, even the wi-fi. If you want to be free of viruses just use Android!
G+_Steve C
Well they claim it's not crippled so I guess it's just useless rubbish! There are better versions of Linux out there so it's best to avoid this one.
G+_Bob Tiff
Where did you get Android 4.3 download?

G+_Bob Tiff
Cool thanks I wish they would have the Chrome Is they run on Chromebooks I know there is something in Linux Chrome but would be a nice install
G+_Steve C
The RoboLinux disc does have a driver for my wi-fi card, an Intel 4965AGN, but when I tried to install it the installation seems to go OK but then it says it has to reboot before the driver will work but then of course when it reboots it loads everything from the disc again the same as before so there is no driver installed and it still doesn't work! Other problems with this iso are when it's starting up it displays thousands of error messages and warnings, then the screen goes black for a long time before it ever starts! Also they say that Robolinux has 30,000 + FREE applications, I wonder what applications they are talking about exactly? I couldn't find any! There are better versions of Linux out there that are free to download and install where everything works, even the wi-fi, so I'm giving up on this rubbish! G+_Steve C
Bob, When I was looking for Chrome and I Googled it I found some guy who claimed to have an iso to download it but when I tried that it was just a version of Linux with the Chrome browser installed in it! I sent him a nasty email saying he shouldn't be putting out fraudulent copies of Chrome but never did hear back. LOL
G+_Steve C
Filipe, were you trying to sell the program as a Robolinux Affiliate? If so, I'm sorry if I ruined your plans but I wouldn't pay $80 to try it or even $4.99 since there are better versions of Linux that are free to download and install where everything works. G+_Bob Tiff
Steve I think when they do let that out it will be nice only worry will be driver issues but most things people need are just on the web
G+_Steve C
Filipe, When they say that Robolinux has 30,000 + FREE applications, what applications are they talking about exactly do you know or is that just another false claim? I didn't see any apps, just the usual stuff that comes with Linux.
