G+_Jeff Main
Referring back to KnowHow 262 for a Streaming Studio, I would highly recommend a program called vMix! vMix recently updated to v19 that has a very unique capability to replace Skype with vMix Call. Your guest can "Call in" using a webcam and mic through Firefox or chrome browser. As of version 18, it became NDI compatible so will also communicate with Tricaster NDI. Check out the v19 features here... .I'm running it on a 2008 ASUS p6T v2 deluxe with a xeon x5680, with an add on USB3 PCIe 4 port dedicated USB card that has a c920, c930e, a lifecam studio, and 2 c270 webcams. I also have an Amcrest IP2M841B PTZ connected via RTSP. vMix is free for the basic version, $60 for the basic HD. both allow up to 4 inputs which gets things started nicely. I'm running the $700 4K version that includes 2 vMix call inputs and 1000 inputs. Here is the version comparison chart. http://www.vmix.com/purchase/ Install it and try it fully functional for free for 60 days!
G+_Ben Reese
I've been running the free version of vmix for a couple years with an SD stream. I believe you can do up to 720p with free. For hardware, I'm using a Dell 6410 with I think a 2nd gen i5.
