G+_Jordan Tristan
Who else really enjoyed the live coverage of the Samsung and Nokia events? It was so much fun to listen to the audio only. Great theatre of the mind.?
G+_Damian Mongru
I listened to the Samsung one. I've stayed away from some of the 'breaking news' coverage as it seemed to be too snarky, they just seemed to mock and criticise everything, and talked over a lot of information - worse still the questions they were asking were being missed as they were talking over it. The coverage started off like this as well. The lad came on stage and introduced the CEO, and there was 'this isn't the guy - it's the guy who introduces the guy' they're called hosts. Lots of events have them. Then the CEO came on and introduced the gadgets, and it was being compared to an Apple keynote. Wait, the Samsung events have been the same*, they introduce the tech, then someone else comes on to explain it then they conclude. It's a Samsung press conference. Finally, they mocked a guy for his accent. Then the gap between comments lengthened and they actually listened to what was being explained - maybe because there weren't any leaks regarding the Gear Fit, and they made TWiT-comments. This is what I want! TWiT generally knows what it is talking about, and presents it in a entertaining, fun, inciteful way. So first 20 minutes: I feared the worst, after that: great commentary. * They are in the style of: tell your audience what you're going to tell them. tell them. then tell them what you told them
