Just brought myself a 3d printer. What are the programs you use to design and to slice with.

TinkerCAD for design (free online tool). Cura for slicing.

 

I would like to try Fusion360 for design but they don't have a Linux version. I've been wadiing into FreeCAD and OpenSCAD, but they are far from intuitive.

OnShape (free web-based) is pretty good for design also.

David Peach thanks for the information, I purchased a cocoon which is a rebranded Wanhao Duplicator i3 for the Australian market and sold by Aldi.

That's the one I have with the name Monoprice Maker Select Plus. But it is the same printer.

I was watching maker muse YouTube channel (Australian guy) regarding 3d printing and he was talking about a free program called Meshmixer. Has anyone used it and what do you think about it.
