G+_Lloyd Alexandre
I am looking for a good gaming laptop that will also be good for doing some video editing. I am willing to spend as high as $2500 maybe a little more

G+_Jack Zhang
ASUS offers some good options. A quad-core and a Nvidia GPU should serve well.
G+_Taavo-Taur Tammur (t2t2
Seconded Jack Zhang, I have ASUS N56VZ (https://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N56VZ/#overview) and it can pretty much handle anything thrown at it (even editing a few episodes of omgcraft) while also possible to carry around for university (2 classes of 1.5 hours can be easily handled). G+_Andrew Boyter
Looks like all your goals are working together. Find a gaming computer with good reviews (CNET and Engadget would both be good places to start) and it will do any video editing you need. DoghouseSystems.com makes some pretty cool machines.
