G+_Jason Perry
I have quad questions for those who are geeking out with them right now. The props on some quads such as the Parrot AR drone sit at a slight downward angle, is there a benefit to this or is it just marketing?
G+_Ryan Parks
I would say no. For stability something with a slow fly prop and motors in the 750-1000kv range are most efficient and stable.
G+_Travis Hershberger
What do you mean by "a slight downward angle"? If the props had no angle on them, the would not generate any thrust, couldn't even use them for a fan!
G+_Jason Perry
Travis Hershberger if you look at most quads the arms holding the props come straight out from the centre of the frame so if you put it on a table it would sit flat. On the Parrot AR drone there is a slight angle so only the 4 tips would touch the table and there would be a small air space between the centre of the quad and the table
G+_Jason Perry
More a question out of is that a desirable feature or a gimmick. I am waiting for Christmas to see if I get a trainer. And if not I'll have something cheap for the new year that way I don't cry when I run it into a wall.
