G+_Jason Perry
Is there anyone here that has experiance with MQTT? I have just started looking into it. I want to set up an MQTT-SN broker for my home automation project. The plans are to run the system over Zigbee so from my understanding that limits me to the SN variant. If anyone is able to give me some guidance that would be appreciated. Thanks,
G+_Dominik Obermaier
A good place to start with MQTT is the MQTT Essential series by HiveMQ. You can find a full list of all 11 posts of this series here on my blog: http://forkbomb-blog.de/2015/all-you-need-to-know-about-mqtt
G+_Jason Perry
Thanks Dominik Obermaier, one quick question for you. How does HiveMQ differ from other brokers such as Mosquito?
G+_Dominik Obermaier
Glad to help, Jason Perry. HiveMQ is designed for professional, mission critical use. It has support for clustering and an open source plugin system to hook HiveMQ into every existing system (like databases, webservices, etc). You can see a full list of MQTT brokers / hosted solutions here: https://github.com/mqtt/mqtt.github.io/wiki/Server%20support
