G+_Jason Perry
I think I have possibly found a new obsession and a way of standardizing the payload aspect of my quadcopter obsession with my new desire to try out HAB. I stumbled upon a youtuber who launched a balloon into near space after watching a number of his videos I was then introduced to the concept of a CubeSat. Wikipedia as informed me that a CubeSat is a standardized around a 10cm cube weighing 1.33kg known as a 1u CubeSat. To do the conversion its a ~2" cube weighing ~3lbs. I am not sure what my new obsession actually is, trying out HAB or finding as many things as possible to attach a 2" cube to. https://www.youtube.com/user/Shadow5549
G+_MKme Lab
Jason Perry Thanks :) Best of luck with your build. Hope my videos help in some way. Cheers
G+_Jason Perry
Eric William -MKme Tech, I think the best part was finding how easy it is to launch in Canada. Whenever I do build I will probably launch out your way so it isnt that far of a drive home. Great videos, they demystified HAB for me and mad me feel confident I can do it too. G+_MKme Lab
Jason Perry That is fantastic feedback. Entirely why I made the huge video series- in hopes others could enjoy as well. PS Air Traffic Control is AMAZING to deal with. Even though you don't technically need to file a NOTAM - do it. It is one more level of safety for all. Was an awesome experience.
