I 'm up for contract renewal tomorrow and updating my phone, I 'm still undecided

I got the Nexus 6 the first day it was available at T-Mobile and used it up until about June 10th, when I got the G4. So far I've loved the G4 more than the N6 for everything but the software... I'm a fan of stock Android and though the G4's software is MUCH better than some others (touchwiz, looking at you!), it still seems less thought out than stock Android.

The Nexus 6 was also a tiny bit too big. I never felt that it was the easiest phone to use due to it's size, which was the primary reason I wanted the G4. I feel like my hands are slightly larger than average too. The G4 fits perfectly in my hands.

If you like taking pictures with your phone, I'd say G4 all the way. The Nexus 6 is the best camera I've ever had in a Nexus phone (owned every one since the Nexus S) but that isn't saying much. The G4 camera is fantastic! I've taken some great pictures with it!

At the end of the day, if I could get a Nexus 5.5 with the 5.5" screen, the G4's camera, and in some normal colors, not that ugly 'blue' the Nexus 6 came in, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Fingers crossed for this fall's Nexus phone release! Until then, get the G4!

I'm a big picture taker, love my photography. Especially since got a dog. I've had every Nexus appartfromthis one, plus the G1&G2. I'm really worried about none stock software, always put it on non stock devices, like the Samsungs I've had. I currently have the OnePlus One, really haply with the size of it. It really upset me when they released a Nexus at that size.

Determine how each of these variables are important -

Phone size

Camera

Screen quality / Display

External storage

Replaceable storage

Stock Android vs light skinned

Build (quality / looks)

I personally go for the G4 but everyone has a personal choice which is why Android allows you to pick the phone that is best for you rather than being forced into one handset.

No need to yet, can do everything I need via adb at present. Will likely unlock bootloader once custom ROMs start to appear. Had to change some stuff, like blocking bloat apps, it runs so much smoother once disabled a load, need a toll to do it as not all can be done in settings. Also changed dpi as was far too big on stock. Other than that though it's pretty good stock, only really missing an adblocker, the only reason I miss root right now, but gives me a chance to try out Ghostery Browser.
