G+_Doug Mejia
Hi everyone. I have a question that I thought you guys might help me answer once and for all. I am visually impaired and use iOS at the moment because it has accessibility features that allow me to use the iPhone independently. The two main features that I use are text to speech (that reads most text I tap on) and the (three-finger double tap) screen zoom in that allows me to enlarge the entire screen and move around it so that I can see what I need. Does the Samsung Galaxy S3 (or forthcoming S4) or the Note 2 have these features? Any other comparable phone have these two main features? Thanks for all your help. G+_Jeffrey Young (lilazndu
Not sure if the GS3 has this or not, but in settings > Accessibility there's Magnification gestures and TalkBack. I believe these are what you're looking for. I'm looking at these on my Galaxy Nexus with 4.2.2. I don't recall what version of Android the GS3 has, but I think at least TalkBack is there. I also don't recall which version the magnificiation gestures came in, I want to say 4.2 though.
G+_Doug Mejia
That is great to hear. I am probably going to wait for the GS4 if it is announced on March 14. If not I will look for another phone maybe the HTC1. Thanks a bunch for your insight.
G+_Marlon Thompson
Yes the GS3 has these accessibility features as does the note 2, this is part of the core OS and Google has been getting better with the implementation though I have applauded Apple for their great implementation from day one
