G+_Josh Jett
Am I the only one that celebrates when John Dvorak is NOT on Twit? To me, he often detracts from what Leo and the panel bring to the table.
G+_Todd Hansnicki
I think so..... I really only listen when he is on.
G+_Marlon Thompson
love me some John C. Dvorak
G+_Razz Fox
Yeah you're the only one. You must not really be listening :P open your mind Hear out the arguments of people you disagree with. Presumably, it makes you stronger in your own beliefs because you've seen all their cards. If not, well then you've learned something :D
G+_Derrick Cope
Someone has to speak the truth, all the other guests just say how great things are. No one wants to upset anyone. John C. Dvorak Its really easy to say something nice. Where I live in China people go overboard to say something nice about everything. Its total bs.? G+_Mathis Sneed
Josh Jett I could not agree more. In fact, I all but refuse to listen to a TWiT if Dvorak is on. The one exception is last week's, and that was only because Mike Elgan was there (I had to hear him). Dvorak is just plain negative and contemptuous. He always makes the same "contribution"... "This is stupid, and I wrote an article to that effect 4 weeks ago." He makes me want to throw things.
G+_Brian Gilbert (Ned Jaco
I find TWiT a little dull without John C. Dvorak present.
G+_Neil Sedlak
This is an entertainment show. Without a counter viewpoint it's just straight talking heads and facts. If everyone is agreeing across the board, it gets boring and I tend to zone out. The snarks, gaffs and interactions are what set a show apart from what you could just read for yourself online. Plus, Dvorak can stop Leo from monopolizing, which is also very important to a show's balance.
G+_Marlon Thompson
You know I love the fact that John C. Dvorak always references the articles he writes, because he is letting you know,he is keeping up with the news and is producing content on a regular basis. Do I agree with everything he writes and says? Hell no! But listening to him and reading his articles sometimes clarifies and strengthens my own position or makes me see things from a whole different viewpoint. Plus the dude has always been a huge supporter for Twit and Leo since day one, I got to respect that commitment and loyalty.
G+_Mathis Sneed
Marlon Thompson I agree that he's definitely a "force" in the tech journalism world. His pedigree and his TWiG support are inarguable. My biggest issue with Dvorak is his attitude. I don't think I've ever heard someone speak with so much contempt. He is arrogant and condescending and likes to "show off" how much he "keeps up with things". My issue(s) with him are certainly personal preference matters, not something I expect to be shared by everyone. I definitely welcome a contrary point of view and I disagree with anyone who says that Leo brings in a bunch of head-nodders and yes-men to any of the TWiT shows. TWiT is almost always great about discussing matters from multiple angles (Mike Elgan's recent appearance and contributions are evidence of that), I neither like nor appreciate the way Dvorak brings his points to the conversation. G+_Edward Crosby
My only issue with Dvorak is that he tends to talk over and interrupt the other guest.

G+_Arnab Das
Seriously? He's the only person who doesn't bore me to death on a TWIT show, Leo excluded of course. It's a scam!?
G+_Nathan Erickson
Dvorak is my favorite TWiT regular. I think people take him too seriously. I think he's hilarious.
G+_Walter Riker
Actually I think that John C is the only one that can keep Leo in line when he goes off on some rant. I really do not find John that arrogant. His comments make sense.

G+_kristoffer petersen
i dont mind when he is on the show, but i am definately not a fan. and i do sometimes celebrate when he is not on, especially when he has been on the show many times in a row it just tends to become the same act hes putting on and it gets a bit tedius. thats just the way i feel, and there are many other guests i would feel the same way about if they where on as regularly. G+_Josh Jett
Leo: "What's your favorite color? " Guest: "Well, it would have to be blu..." John: "I wrote about your favorite color 3 years ago, and it's definitely not blue. It's a scam I tell ya. We also talked about it on the No Agenda Show. Your favorite color is red. Did I mention I do another show? It's the No Agenda Show.com. Scam.?"
