G+_Mark Swaim
I can't think of another company that embraces failure like Microsoft and learns from it. http://money.cnn.com/2015/03/31/technology/surface-billion-dollar-writedown/index.html
G+_Philip Scherry
Where can I buy one of those unsold Surfaces cheap?
G+_David Pick
I paid $199.99 for a 32GB Surface RT tablet only with charger directly from Microsoft Store online on Black Friday 2013. Just realize their are many other tablets to choose from today before purchasing a RT based tablet. Also try to purchase an unsold Surface 2 if your looking for an lower priced tablet as it has much better performance over the original Surface RT tablet. G+_Midwest Concert Video
The thing that kills me is that the hated Surface RT has exactly the same relationship to full Windows as the iPad and iPhone have to OSX. Both are limited versions, and Apple gets praised and tons of sales, and Microsoft gets dumped on. And iPads and iPhones are still brain-damaged, locked down versions of OSX. What the hell? Also, if Apple had introduced the Metro interface on OSX, it would have been the Second Coming.
G+_David Pick
Midwest Concert Video? I wouldn't phrase Metro on OSX as the second coming. What Microsoft did wrong with the original RT Surface tablet line was trying to copy Apple's business strategy and not asking customers what they wanted before building them. In concept,I felt the Surface RT tablet was a good idea.Ultimately the lack of software apps available for RT tablets and the fact consumers didn't understand they weren't full Windows made them undesirable compared to ipads. Microsoft had hoped developers would embrace Windows 8 when it released in 2012.Unfortunately the cost to develop apps for Windows 8 compared to IOS and Android made it cost prohibitive to many.? Competition is good. And their are many tablets to choose from today. But with phones becoming larger and larger.A consumer or student really would need to decide if they would need a larger tablet over what their phone can already do.
