Is there a stick similar to my roku remote I can plug headphones into and stick in my pocket and listen to audio. I am sick of worrying about hitting buttons.

 

No phone apps, I am looking for something purpose built.

Would bluetooth be acceptable? They make bluetooth adapters for headphones.

I think what I am after is a portable chromecast with a play, pause, and skip button.

How portable, around the house or around the neighborhood. Without wifi you need LTE, and I don't know of any music specific portable devices with LTE.

I have been using my roku remote as a music player, but I keep hitting buttons.

 

I am probably going to make a case for it till I can find a solution.

Sounds like an iPod shuffle or something similar. Doesn't have streaming though. I've always got my phone nearby so Bluetooth ear buds work well for me and include the play, pause, skip, volume buttons.

If you prefer headphones over ear buds, many of then have the same control options. Sure beats the radio headphones I had as a teen!
