G+_Jason Perry
My son doesn't even have it yet and I am all ready thinking of the ways I can hack it.
G+_Ben Reese
Nice! A few ideas here too: http://modifiedpowerwheels.com/
G+_Tyler Pearson
Yep thats a great site. I modified a go cart powerwheels with larger motors and made it 24v. He went crazy like a bat out of hell before the plastic gears gave out. Even with having it so he started out slower and not full speed he still spun the tires. Wish i had a 3d printer or the ability to make metal gears. If you increase power be aware the torque on the gears and plastic tires spin if set to high. Rubber tires are nice but will destroy the plastic gears. But for original slow speed and just adding real lights/ radio etc is also a great idea. G+_Rud Dog
Ben Reese how do feel about adoption?
G+_Jason Perry
Ben Reese?, there is a rabbit hole for you. Watching the videos and thought, yeah those are fairly conservative mods, then I got to the forums and went wow. There are sections for body mods, steering and suspension, upgrading your motors and gearboxes, rc controls!
G+_Ben Reese
I've wanted to add RC to my kids' Charger Police Cruiser - mostly because it's difficult to move without a driver. I've also seen lights, sound, battery, and solar upgrades that would be awesome!
G+_Ben Reese
But I wouldn't go near as far as some with $300 sound systems and ultra bright strobes...
G+_Jason Perry
I think my big one is a rc kill switch
G+_Jason Marsh
First mod should be to have it play Big Green Tractor. Then it's going to need some D.A.Y. lights. I have a 36v golf car with a rotten body, was considering a redneck mud cart build :)
