G+_Ravi Pawa
I have a Nexus 4 from Fido in Canada. How do I know if the phone is carrier locked/unlocked (without another carrier's SIM card)? Also, does the phone need to be carrier unlocked to be rooted? If not, can someone please explain why the Nexus 4 Toolkit does not find the ADB device when USB debugging is enabled on the phone and it shows fine in the device manager. Any help is greatly appreciated.
G+_Lucas Nichols
I don't believe they sold a carrier locked version of the nexus 4. Your phone doesn't need to be unlocked to root it. As for the rest. I don't know.
