I know Leo Laporte says he subscribes to the The New Yorker but never has time to read it, but I think this is one of the best, long form pieces on the technology industry I've read in some time. As someone who loves technology and news/politics, I think this fantastically spot on. 

 

It's not news per se, so I don't think it fits into TNT -- though I'd love to hear what Tom Merritt Sarah Lane and/or iyaz akhtar think about the piece -- but I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has a hot cup of coffee near by and fifteen minutes.
