G+_Jason Perry
There seems to be a lot of tutorials. If you have one that you like please share. I am looking for something non IC based unless I am programming the IC. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-driver-for-a-stepper-motor/
G+_Eddie Foy
Non IC or non micro controller? It can be done without ICs but its going to be a rather big PCB and much more complicated, and prone to mistakes. So I'm guessing you mean using a stepper chip, and just adding glue logic. Me? I'd just get a RepRap/RAMPS stepper driver from China.

G+_Jason Perry
It's more a thing of learning. I will more than likely make a set and that will be the first and last ones I ever make.
G+_Eddie Foy
Heck, you could make a sequencer and use relays.
