G+_Jason Perry
I am looking for a good YouTube tutorial on how to make a metal lamp base touch sensitive. Any help would be appreciated.

G+_Ben Reese
I think the dimmable lamps that I've seen require special bulbs with multiple filaments - like a 20W a 40W - giving it 3 stages. Actually varying AC current is something I'm extremely interested in leaning how to do, but requires a way to detect the 0-crossing of the current. That is, if I understand the process correctly. Just the first video I found about it on YouTube. Now I have to go watch it to see how he's going to make it sound easy ?
G+_Douglas Biggers
Admittedly not very makery, but dims incadecent bulbs. There are bulbs that have 2 or 3 different sets of filaments, but they are rare(er than single set lights, anyway). I just ordered this handy little box so I could restore a touchbase lamp. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O0R5324/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 amazon.com - AC 110V 4 Way Dimmer Switch Touch Control Sensor Table Desk Light Parts - - Amazon.com
