G+_Ted Cannelongo
Actually, T-Mobile did something similar to me when I switched to the Nexus 5. I was still grandfathered in on an unlimited data plan with tethering and when I swapped the phone, I lost the ability to tether. Had to downgrade to a 3 GB plan for a higher monthly price to get tethering back in a pinch one weekend.
G+_James R
Andrew Uschold unless you're mistaking me for someone else's points (because you're bringing up things that have nothing to do with what I've said...), that IS how it works. SHOULD it work that way? Probably not. But that is how it works. I never said I agreed with it. It's just not soemthig new. And, considering that's my industry and job, I know what I'm talking about. G+_Christer Enfors
Andrew Uschold I agree - if I did have this problem, I would vote with my wallet. I don't though, fortunately. I have an unlimited data plan, and my carrier doesn't know and doesn't seem to care if I tether or not.
G+_Christer Enfors
Andrew Uschold Yes, I agree. The sad thing though is that people in the US (and many other countries too, I'm sure) put up with crap like this. You shouldn't.
