Google Glass fears. We have seen this before.

All this talk about Google Glass being this evil device that will do every imaginable horrible thing to your privacy, reminds me of some people in the past who refused to have their photographs taken, because the camera will steal their soul.

Newsflash: the moment you lease the house, you are ALWAYS on some camera. There is no privacy.

As for this Glass in the bathroom nonsense... Do you really think that people are that interested in pour pee-pee?

P.S. ... hmm... that photo does have its uses...

Yes, Google Glass survives a wet shower

You thought I was kidding when I said I would never take them off.

Yes, they survive being wet. I had them full on soaked in my shower this morning. Google Glass  still works.

So, they will be usable out in rain or other weather. Feel safe #GlassExplorers  !

The main problem people are having with Google Glass is another 'end of privacy' problem. This is exacerbated as you wouldn't even know that your picture has been taken. As opposed to a smartphone where you can see the device being held up and have a good idea what is being photographed. This is a problem for people who want to remain private, or have a choice whether they are photographed or not. I went into London yesterday. and I conservatively estimate that I was caught on 200 CCTV cameras, is that good? Just because I am on CCTV, is that beneficial, is it worthwhile to me, to society?

I don't believe saying you'll have to live with it, as it's the inexorable march of new technology is a good enough answer. There's no reasoned or counter-argument, it's just saying you have to deal with it.

Saying 'you are ALWAYS on some camera. There is no privacy.' as if that's somehow a good thing, as if cameras are a natural phenomenon that have always been there and we can do nothing about it.

Anyhoo, the point is, if people have problems with Glass now is the perfect time to voice those opinions as it is a new product category, and with what is effectively a Glass beta version, Google themselves are trying to find its real use.
