So I am looking for some fan boys to set me straight, I thought Panasonic was THE brand for video cameras? Where does canon come into all this?

I love my Panasonic HMC150, but some people REALLY hate the rolling shutter issue that sometimes shows up.

 

Canons are typically inexpensive, but good for what you pay.

 

The Black Magic Micro Studio is AWESOME, but very specialized.

 

All tools... you just need to use the right tool for the job. :)

where does Sony place?

Since they seam to be major source for sensors but seam to be on the list.

I dislike Sony WITH A PASSION. -- I've never had a Sony video camera that didn't eventually REALLY disappoint me. :(

I would not say Sony camera was any good but many times we here of their sensors.

 

Why can't they take that sensor and make it into a good camera?

 

I have typical gone Canon for photo and use for light use video.

 

What of Sony Mirror Less photo cameras do they do anything for decent video in those units.

I have used the canon 6d and the c100. The c100 can basically see in the dark. The 6d gives great quality. It also does very well in the dark.

 

Obviously the glass matters. But I am a canon baby. Sony make nice cameras but I feel you have to spend much more money to get the quality you need or want.
