G+_Jason Perry
Well it has been awhile since I asked this question. I have built up a google play balance thanks to their rewards program. What apps have you purchased and would recommend to others? Mine so far are ES file explorer Torque JuiceSSH and Trigger
G+_Ben Reese
Torque Pro is one of my favorite apps. I don't use it very often, but it's fantastic for what it does. ES File Explorer Pro is a bit different than their free app. I love it and use it frequently. I've heard some reports that they send data back to their servers, but I haven't validated my self and haven't heard what data they allegedly send. Juice is my favorite SSH app on mobile - although I haven't tried very many. I question the storage of logins though, so I don't let it store logins for everything. On a rooted phone I looked through the file system and found that the logins are encrypted, but that means the encryption key is stored somewhere... Certainly better than storing the credentials in plaintext though. I have no experience with Trigger.

G+_Jason Perry
Akira Yamanita I am going to have to look at MX player. If it plays AVCHD and will cast to my Roku or Chromecast, I am 100% in.
G+_Jason Perry
Paul Hutchinson this is why I love posting here. That's a category I completely forgot about. Now you have me thinking I want to look at network tools too.
G+_George Fromtulsa
PicSay Pro is a actually an easy and rather powerful photo editor, AND a lot of fun. Note I used Pic Frame, it is free and ad-free to create the panels and PicSay Pro to add thought bubbles. Even Snapseed's (also free) healing tool played a bit part. G+_George Fromtulsa
Jason Perry "Out of the mouths of babes?" So many options in PicSay Pro. Seems to be unique to Android, though thanks to "Android on Chromebooks," will now run there.
G+_Ben Reese
Paul Hutchinson two fantastic suggestions. I've used them both.
G+_Ben Reese
Jump RDP/VNC is good. I got it as free app of the day on Amazon years ago. Soundwire plays audio from your computer to your phone. Allows me to use my phones Bluetooth and watch YouTube on the computer. Slight lag, but that's expected. Foldersync Pro is what I use to backup all my photos to my NAS. Supports FTP, SMB, WebDAV... Also syncs my KeePass vault back to my phone from the computer. eWeather HD is my favorite weather app - though I haven't tried very many. Also was an Amazon FAOTD. Easy Teather Pro will tether your Pi, or PC (even Linux), or OpenWRT router... Boldbeast Recorder is the only call recorder I've found that works. Some phones I've only got it to work properly when using Bluetooth though.
G+_Jason Perry
Ben Reese I would have never guessed from FolderSync's description you could sync with a NAS. Not sure why I haven't set something like this up before. I looked for something like boldbeast years ago, wish 8 found it then.
G+_Jason Perry
Ben Reese started playing with boldbeast. I think my next purchase is going to be FolderSync
G+_Ben Reese
Jason Perry with Boldbeast, be aware of the laws where you're at and where you're calling. I live in a state where it's not necessary to get permission or notify the other party. And typically when I call another state it's a business who's also recording on their end. I like being able to record calls when I'm driving so I can take notes later if necessary.
G+_Jason Perry
Ben Reese thanks. I find myself taking notes on scrap paper in hallways then loosing the paper. I want to use it so I can take those notes when I get back to a desk. I think my favorite feature is the confirm after the call that you want to save. G+_Jason Perry
The one thing I seem to be struggling with right now is space on my phone. The one thing ES file explorer pro doesn't do is give me the size of a folder. Does anyone have a solution to easily find where all my storage is going?
