The tech angle on this is obvious. The hardware is a new kind of a delivery system, and maybe someone here will find this story useful.

This is about smoking and vaping.

- If you don't smoke, congratulations, move on. This isn't for you.

- If you smoke and want to quit completely, best of luck.

- If you smoke but wonder if there is a less harmful way to do it, read on.

- If you don't smoke, but feel the need to tell others what they should do, mind your own business.

Here is the thing: I waited for almost three months to make this post. I wanted to be sure about it, and now I am. This is what I did, and what I think about it.

I started smoking a very long time ago, longer that I care to remember and over the years it became part of who I was. It was about the taste, the sensations, the ritual. All of those.

People smoke not just because it is addictive. It is addictive because people like what they get out of it. However, it is unhealthy, no doubt about it. So on a whim, I started to read up and watch a lot of YouTube movies about this "Vaping" thing I came across.

It didn't take me long to convince myself to give it a try. It looked like a toy to me, but what the heck… it wasn't that expensive, so I bought a starter set. The prospect of eliminating all the tar like substances from smoking, but keeping all the other things I liked, was appealing.

The substances used in the e-liquid have common uses in the pharmaceutical and food industry, and yes, there is a small amount of nicotine in the E-liquid, if you chose to have it in there. You can get e-liquids without nicotine if you want to.

What is not in the vapor you get from the e-cigarette, is all the black, tar like gunky stuff. I consider that to be a giant improvement.

Look at an E-cigarette as a nicotine delivery system, the same way your espresso machine is a caffeine delivery system. If you gonna have your nicotine, have it this way. It is clean, and a lot easier on the wallet too.

Things that you can expect:

- You won't wake up it the morning with that taste in your mouth as if you licked old asphalt all night.

- Chili peppers will suddenly be a lot hotter that you are used to.

- You will actually discover that things have smells.

- After you cough out the long term accumulated gunk, it is as if your lungs have grown in size.

- There won't be any ash dust or dirt on your desk anymore.

- You will find yourself inexplicably searching for the ashtray, even though it has become utterly useless.

- Some will ask you "why are you sucking on that pen"? Ignore them.

When you start:

- Go for a e-cigarette that gives you a good amount of vapor. I prefer the Kanger Evod. I also like the clear thanks, so I can see the e-liquid level.

- Go for a tobacco taste in your e liquid. In the beginning, stay away from the frou-frou peanut butter- apple pie- spring rain- unicorn tastes. You can experiment with the weird stuff later. A nice classic Virginia tobacco taste will make the transition a lot easier.

- Go for an average nicotine strength in your e-liquid. don't start too high or too low.

- Don't buy every single piece of hardware out there.

- You will come across disgusting tasting e-liquids, but the one you like is out there. Find it.

Where to get it: Google and YouTube "Vaping"

Conclusion: It works. It works. It works for me. Give it a try. It may work for you too.

Awesome, congratulations. My wife is starting year three without a cigarette thanks to these! I showed her this setup, because she uses a Tumbler attached to an Ego battery which she highly recommends. The Tumbler also let's you switch coils once the included one burns out, and the container is clear, so you can see levels. She tried the tobacco flavor, but prefers the frou frou ones lol. She uses the 24mg because she was a Full Flavor 100 1.5 pack/day smoker for years before trying e-cigs. I highly recommend them, but the key is the smoker must first want to quit.

changing the coil on this model is ridiculously easy. And they are like... 4.5 euro for a set of 5. That's enough for two months or so. Every week I take the coil out and I let it soak in a layer vodka in a glass. It cleans it out like a charm. then I use it again for a week and change it with a new one.

The next step for me is a variable voltage e-go battery... which should set me back 25 whole euros...

Can not agree with you more on this. I decided to give Vaping a try on a whim seeing all the e-cigs popping up at the tobacco shop.

I had no intention of switching over to vaping in the beginning but found that I liked it a lot more than smoking.

In the end I unconsciously ended up using it as a tool to quit smoking all together as I found that the more I used the e-cig the less cravings I had for smoking until I ended up just dropping it in a drawer and having looked back since. And that was four months ago now.

The e-cig I was using was the blu mostly because I just liked the blue glowing tip when you inhaled lol.
