G+_Paul Simard
I'd suggest a different alternative. How about a password locker thar holds all different (strong) account passwords for you? All you need to know is the master password. The locker tracks the sites, and logs you in using a keyboard shortcut. This lets you avoid using a simple password(s) online. Another feature here is you can comply with any password policy easily, and only need to hold one password in memory.
G+_Phillip Adcock
The log I was showing was for Windows, it required me to have atleast a four digit passcode with both numbers and letters. I set up a microsoft acount over my local folder after doing so and it seemed to have worked to use a shorter password but its just the password for my windows Live account. G+_Paul Simard
Undrstood. My solution is a third party utility, several out there. The idea here is not to circumvent what others (in this case, your college), do to secure their sites. Suggest you find an open source solution, vet the source and build for yourself. That way, you can be confident in the security of your code at home, and comply fully and securely with your external accounts.
