G+_Phillip Adcock
I want to attempt to run Windows 10 on a virtual box. My current system is Windows 8.1. I tried installing Oracle' s virtual box but that doesn't seem to be working. Any options or opinions?
G+_Phil Chung
I have 64-bit version running no problem in Virtual Box.
G+_Alex Hulinsky
I'm using VMware and its working, although that is the 32 bit version
G+_Ben Reese
I haven't tried it with 10 yet, but I have about 4 different copies of Windows running as multi-boot options. All but one of them is installed to a VHD because they're all virtual drives, they're easy to move to other physical drives or remove when not needed anymore. G+_Phillip Adcock
I was not able to download VMware Player Bob Wya , Is there anyway you could send me a link?
G+_Alan Edwards
I've got Windows 10 running in (free) VMWare Player on a Windows 8.1 host machine. I think I started with the presets for a Windows 8 VM. The download page is a little bit hidden, but is here: http://tinyurl.com/lf2sgw6. Give me a shout if you can't get it going and I'll document all the steps.

G+_Alan Edwards
Phillip Adcock OK, I remembered after I posted that I set it up on the ESXi server before, so I set a new Windows 10 VM up in VMWare Player. I started by mounting the ISO in a virtual DVD drive in Virtual Clone Drive (freeware) and pointed the new VM wizard in Player at the drive. It didn't know what the OS was so I told it to use Windows 8 x64, using the default of 60Gb disc and 2Gb RAM. All the hardware options were left at the defaults too. I didn't do anything clever after that. The hardware Player emulates is old so the basic drivers are included with Windows, the network and sound worked out-of-the-box. I installed VMWare Tools once the OS was installed. I've got one unidentified bit of hardware, but Windows is running fine. What driver does it think it is missing?
