G+_Nathan Sikita
So I have a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with. I was at the part on building my KH250 where I need to set the ESC, when I plugged the battery in it made a popping sound and then nothing happened. I decided to check the voltage and everything with my voltmeter and find out that in my 3 cell lipo one cell is now completely missing and it shows 0 charge total but but each individual cell has a charge. I don't know what i did, not sure if the battery was just defective or I screwed up somewhere with the soldering or connection (all the power wires are going to their respective color coded opposite) please help!!! G+_Michael Heinz
Two possibilities come to mind - either yes, you had a bad battery or, yes, you somehow have a short in your soldering. Was this the first time applying power? The first thing I would check is for a short - set your multi-meter for resistance/continuity mode and touch the leads to the battery terminals of your quad - if the multimeter shows no resistance then you've got a short. G+_Nathan Sikita
This was my first time attempting power
G+_Michael Heinz
Did you try the multi-meter?
G+_Nathan Sikita
yeah and it showed up no resistance, so now I have to find where the short is
G+_Nathan Sikita
where is it most likely that the short would be, and how would I go about looking for the short? is it mostly likely a bad soldering job on the quad's pdb? this is my first time soldering so I'm not sure if I might have just done a poor job on it.
