G+_George Kozi
Originally shared by George Kozi I never saw Screensavers before... so I'm looking at it now on the TWIT reruns and I'm wondering what the heck is wrong. I keep expecting Don Johnson and Joan Collins to walz in.
G+_Keith Wilson
When I think about the computer I had in 1999 versus what I have now we have come a very long way.
G+_Kevin Wendland
Yeah we have come a very long way with computers in a dozen years. I remember watching Call for Help all the time and it really got me interested in computers and technology.
G+_Kevin Wendland
By the way I forgot her name, but I didnt like her as a co host. I wanted Leo solo or with Martin Sargeant, he was pretty funny.
G+_Dave Trautman
Alex Cox — when I look at my new MacBook Pro Retina where I just stick in a memory chip from my HD camera, load in the shots I want into FCPX, AirPlay the second screen to my Panasonic HDTV, and edit what I shot, then I really am living the dream. Back in 1999 I was making television in a $4.5 million studio with all kinds of interconnected gear (with routing switchers to keep it all organized) to make fairly fuzzy content to be viewed on cathode ray TV sets. But now I have that entire studio (and much more in effects) right here under my fingers and on my lap (for about $20K). Yesterday I edited a one-minute promo piece in my living room and on battery. I finished with 35% battery left and a very nice H.264 - MP4 video for my client. More than most I think I can appreciate how far I have come from 1999

G+_Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid
Yes. Technology has moved very far indeed in our times. In 1991, my uni mates and I were very impressed by the 3.5 inch floppy disk.
