G+_Dan Heaford
Since making the jump from iPhone to Android, there's something I really miss. On most iPhone apps you can select where to send the sound to. For example I can be listening to an audio book and then choose to airplay it to my apple tv. On my Android I have a specific player for audio books which is great, it remembers where I am, I can vary the speed etc but if I want to stream the audio I can not do it from that audio book player, I have to use another app. This then messes with where I was in the book when I return to the audio book player and these other streaming apps doesn't have the functionality of the audio book player. Does anyone know of a way around this?
G+_Dan Phillips
What app and what specific Android device(s) are you using? Some Android phones, like Samsung, contain proprietary sharing services that are not part of a typical "vanilla" Google install (like a Nexus7). It would also be useful to know what App you are using
G+_Dan Heaford
Thats interesting as I have the Samsung S3. The app for audio books is called Smart Audio Book player, which I highly recommend.
G+_Dan Phillips
Ok. Are there any sharing options at all in the player? On an S3, there is usually a share button but that only sends a message to someone like, "key, this app is great and here's where you can download it". I think what we need to look for is something that can share the audio from the S3, not just the app is self.
G+_Aaron Geier
Bluetooth works with any app.
G+_iyaz akhtar
Dan Heaford Aaron Geier Is dead on. Bluetooth is your best bet. System-wide audio sent to another speaker wirelessly. Here's a recommended Bluetooth receiver you can attach to your existing system: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Speaker-Bluetooth-980-000540/dp/B004VM1T5S
