G+_Will Getty
I kindly ask you to take a few minutes of your time to provide some valuable feedback in support of my overall Master’s thesis researching vehicle hacking consumer awareness and impacts. Thanks. https://pennstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eqBjLCQEvpawIUB
G+_Jason Marsh
The most sensible and effective mitigation techniques will have to be implemented by the OEMs and their suppliers, because people are just too lazy or ignorant to be relied upon to do it. Consumers are bad at everything, so I wouldn't tend to believe they could be educated enough about such issues to effectively mitigate any vehicular hacking risks. People can't/won't put enough brain cells toward handling simple things like locking their doors and windows, using strong passwords, or most generally accepted physical or cyber security practices. They are largely lazy or ignorant (or both), and will remain so.
