G+_Lee Roche
Test bench questions. I've always had a test computer but want to up the game a little. (First time playing with communities, so please forgive inevitable mistakes) What is your best test bench setup (hardware) for testing drives and equipment? Is there a better way than making a multiboot USB drive to have your utilities at the ready? (Is there a good way to build a multi ISO SSD?) G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
First and foremost my test bench is an assembly/dissasembly center. I need the tools to be able to open anything, take apart anything, assemble anything. This means a full set of drivers, bits, fasteners and pokey things. Secondly, my test bench is a triage center: I need to be able to do differential diagnosis. That means every possible replacement part, or at least a part that can do in a pinch, needs to be part of my kit so I can narrow the problem within a half-dozen swaps. Finally, my test bench is a tinkering HQ: I keep a few boxes of wierd odds and ends because sometimes I enjoy making crazy stuff for no reason whatsoever. G+_Lee Roche
Your bench is apparently a lot bigger than mine Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ :). You are, of course, correct. I have most of those things in my "lab" too. I guess what I was wondering is if there is any specific equipment that people have like an open case mod or the like. Thanks for your input!
