G+_James Landi (Rudedog)
Go BIG or go home... Latest 3D printing project. After completing my working 1:1 scale BB-8 and MSE drode. I've move on to a 1:1 scale K2S0 from the latest Star Wars Rogue One. The upper chest is made up of over 8 parts each taking over 46+ hours to print. I've setup the eyes with Know-Hows TV remote arduino LED guide. He will stand over 7' tall I cut some empire emblems in white vinyl just for motivation. They will be painted on when all the body work is finished Printers is a CR-10 with dual Z and only Hictop PLA My source for the files I saw an episode of tested where a guy from Nordwick Designs created the STLs for a cosplay (sorry can't find the link to the tested episode right now) but here is a link to the stl files. https://www.thingiverse.com/NordwickDesign/collections/robot-inspired-by-k2so/page:

G+_Black Merc
That would be something a full size bb8, with a camera in the head,, programmed to herrass the cat on the odd hour... No more (lasy)Garfield cat.
G+_Shooter_FPV (Shooter_FP
Black Merc I found a print on Thingiverse for a full-size Stormtrooper helmet, but I think a full-size BB-8 might beat that... lol It’s gotta be just tons of pieces if it’s full-sized... G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Wow... How much filament is that using?
G+_James Landi (Rudedog)
So far my logs show about 6-7kg of PLA. I estimate another 3-4Kg to complete the mid section, hips, legs and feet. Depending on the part, most infill is 10%
G+_James Landi (Rudedog)
Wanted to update this post. Because of work travel (real world always getting in the way) it's taken me longer then expected. Also had a fan go on my CR-10 power supply so had to wait a couple of days for amazon to deliver a new fan. swapped it out and back to printing 24/7 (while home). I'm up to 11 - 1kg rolls I did have two bad prints. Both after filament swaps and clogged extruder/bowden tube not seated correctly. Caught both very early on. Only thing left is the feel/ankles. Will be updating the elbow and knee pins but once complete I'll be on to body work and final paint. Maybe some more electronics. Here he is standing tall. currently standing 7'-8" but now that the legs are complete, I have to cut the frame down by 4-6" so his feet touch the floor. As if this was not enough, I'm swapping my heavy 3D printed BB-8 dome for a light weight dome as pictured lower left of K2S0.
