G+_Phorest Sherwood
Here is the picture of my 250. I know it looks like everyone else's. But this is a nice starting point for me.
G+_Quadflyingmedic
Nice build. Is that a 3d printed frame?
G+_Phorest Sherwood
No. The frame is the FPV 250 from hobby king.
G+_Phorest Sherwood
Btw. Thanks!
G+_Tom Nardi
I'm still debating between building a 250 or a 450...
G+_Phorest Sherwood
I'm building both. Thought I would use the 250 as an advanced trainer ( after the Syma ). I do photo, and am really looking forward to the stable 450 to do high altitude shots. Btw does anyone know the RC rules in Scotland?
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
I believe the RC rules in Scotland are: If you get caught, just share a bottle of good Scotch. :)
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
BTW... your quad will NEVER look like anybody else's... It may have the same parts, but one of the perks of building it yourself is that you will ALWAYS know your craft. :)
G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Tom Nardi The 450 is GREAT for getting STUNNING AP/AV, but the 250s are just a kick-in-the-pants fun!
G+_Michael Heinz
I like how you attached the legs. I've already lost (and reattached) a leg a couple of times.
G+_Phorest Sherwood
Padre, I'll give the my SECOND best bottle.
G+_Phorest Sherwood
Mike, I actually used the method from know how. I keep them slightly loose for hard landings so I can reinsert the legs more easily.
G+_Michael Heinz
Yeah, I made a big mistake by crazy gluing mine in - they all still fell out after a while but eventually one snapped, leaving the tenon stuck in the hole. Have you decided on an FPV kit yet? I'm looking at this kit as a cheap starting point. http://www.getfpv.com/fpv/fatshark-teleporter-v3-video-goggles.html
G+_Phorest Sherwood
I was hoping I could find something that I could use my nexus 7 as a display. To save a little money. That system looks good, apparently you could spend as much as you want on one!
G+_Michael Heinz
I know how you feel. I'm actually torn between the FPV and actually rebuilding my quad with a new frame I found on HobbyKing: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=77191
