G+_Mark Losinski
Installed three decorative outdoor LED fixtures all connected to a "duel Brite" controller (on at dusk for an adjustable amount of time e.g. 3 hours or 6 hours or all night, then when off, on with motion for an adjustable amount of time e.g. 1 min, 10 min) however, the lights flicker. Any suggestions?
G+_52Degrees
I had a non-LED fixture with a similar feature, but the feature died within a couple of months. Hopefully, your luck will be better. Were the LEDs built in or added by you during installation? They may not be dimmable.
G+_Mark Losinski
The LEDs are built in, mounted on an aluminum disk. There is a small transformer too. I don't want to dim the LEDs. Why does the LEDs not being dimmable make a difference?
G+_52Degrees
The dual-brightness systems are low for the 3/6/AN modes and full bright when movement is detected. Since your LEDs are built in, I would expect that the circuit is designed with dimming in mind. That leaves us really with only 2 possibilities I can think of... Undervoltage or defective products. Have you checked the voltage to the wires from the wall?
G+_52Degrees
Ooh! I almost forgot! You don't want to have any outside dimming that circuit. So, if you have a dimmer switch, you'll want to replace it with a standard on/off discriminator ?
G+_Mark Losinski
Do not have it on a dimmer switch. Another chapter in the saga: tried a different non-duel brite motion only or all night controller and... - no flicker.

G+_52Degrees
I don't think that unit is set up for LEDs. Probably uses a resistor to accomplish dimming. You need a PWM dimmer or you'll have problems.
G+_Mark Losinski
BTW, thanks for your help! If I replace the on off wall switch with the PWM dimmer would that do the trick?
G+_52Degrees
No. The motion sensor requires full, STABLE voltage or it will die an untimely death. Your best bet in this case is to use the motion sensors with an incandescent fixture or return them for a lamp with the feature set you are looking for. That said, if you just want dimming capability without motion sensing, then, yes. You MAY be able to drive your current lamps with a PWM dimmer. However... your lamps may not be able to handle it, depending upon the circuit design. There's nothing magical about dimmable LEDs. It's the driver circuit handling the switching that makes it dimmable or not. If it were me doing it, I'd tear open the enclosure on the lamp and take a hard look at the driver. [sorry about the edit... I didn't say it right. PWM is full voltage, but inturrupted. That'll kill your motion sensor or at least make it not work right until it dies]
G+_Chris Druif (Automated
Maybe the leds have a flicker because of PWM. You could try Voltage Regulation to the leds, but not the sensor.
