G+_favio cuervo
Is it safe to use a roku device @ a hotel ? Could someone with a packet sniffer 'see' anything I'm doing on the roku? I have a VPN service, but I don't see how I could use it with roku
G+_Dan Phillips
I can't imagine anything you can do on Roku that a hacker would be interested in.
G+_favio cuervo
Netflix, Amazon passwords?
G+_Dan Phillips
A hacker would only be able to get those if they are sent as plain text. If that was the case, any hacker could get that info on any network, not just on hotel WiFi. If I'm hacker, I'm more interested in watching to see if I can capture you logging into your online bank rather than Netflix.

G+_Emorej “Backtrax” Salif
I don't trust hotel wifi. I've also found them to be over saturated to provide any reliable speed
