I’m trying find out how to configure a wireless access point to act as a VPN wireless access point so that any device connecting to access point ie. Chromecast, firestick’s, mobile phones and even laptops will have all there data routed through VPN without the need of any VPN software setup on the device.

I could see some benefit to a VPN AP - either to just conceal data from the ISP or for traveling.

Does your AP support VPNs - PPTP or OpenVPN? Or does DD-WRT work on that AP? Most APs also have some consumer router features (DHCP, NAT, etc), so it's possible it has VPN support too - but not likely.

Oh, I gotcha!  Run the VPN client on the router!

Keep in mind your speeds will NOT be what your ISP is giving you.  The VPN will slow you down, considerably if you got a 'turbo' plan with your ISP.  Now if multiple device behind that accessing through the VPN.......

With ProXPN I drop from 50Mb to 10Mb with the VPN just on my laptop.
