I was testing and tuning my 250 Quadcopter, but it was wet and muddy at the baseball fields

I was testing and tuning my 250 Quadcopter, but it was wet and muddy at the baseball fields. So I came home and tried to tune it in my front yard and crashed in driveway. I broke a prop, of course, and one landing skid.  Any change anyone find a place that just sells the skids? I seen some people did 3D print new ones. Yes, the power is insane and open space is required!

250? Helps to have the manufacturer, but if you want to build your own, Amazon search "carbon fiber tubing", it comes in all shapes sizes and prices. Other places like HobbyKing: http://www.hobbyking.com/Hobbyking/store/__6722__Carbon_Fiber_Tube_hollow_3x2x750mm.html I wouldn't think the 3D printed ones would be very strong, but I guess they're using better plastic now.

I'm entertaining the thought of putting some kind of shock absorption on the skids of my Walkera Scout X4. I have an older RC truck that maybe will donate the oil filled shocks. Being a newbie at this I still have a tendency to land it like a fighter pilot and the landing gear won't last that way.

Besides, I enjoy working on them and seeing if I can make improvements as much as I like the flying.

I have half a skid left. it will work.  I am praying for warm weather (and dry) for the next week while on holiday break so I can go fly at the field. I may just need to sneak into U of M indoor practice field. I am sure the football team will not mind. Maybe will will even have a new coach from your 49ers.

Ah, I see now, said the blind man. Hmmm, I going to have to think about that one. There has to be something you could screw on or even epoxy splice it together with some proper size carbon fiber tubing. Hmm, a little crutch...

Post a picture of the broken skid.

Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ is right on though, might be less expensive to just buy a new frame than the carbon fiber repair.
