Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ do you think it is ok to add a loose loop tie strap on the clean plate through the rubber dampener for the camera on Alien X 450 Quadcopter? This would allow the plate and camera to still move but keep the plate and camera from coming loose from the quadcopter on a hard landing or minor crash.

 

yes I need a lot of practice to prevent crashes and hard landing. I think it would be easier to find the camera if it is with the quadcopter and not on it's own.

As long as the clean plate can move freely, you should be fine. But you will most likely hear the tiz tie rattling if it hits the camera. A better option though might be bailing wire. I find that the fiberglass tends to cut through zip ties, and zip ties snap easily.

Small nylon cord in lieu of zip ties or bailing wire might be a more resilient and silent option. Probably a few milligrams less weight than either of those, as well.
