G+_George Kozi
We're on our way... Technology is not only about phones, but this kind of stuff too. My little corner of the planet seems to have got the message that energy production by non destructive ways, is important. Originally shared by EARTH: The Operators' Manual The Dutch went on a tear last year, installing over 100,000 solar rooftops, bringing their total to around 200,000. This year, the high latitude country plans to install another 100,000 systems. This is what a disruptive technology looks like! http://tinyurl.com/mh7a5cj
G+_Michael Deis
Here is an interesting report on the cost/benefit calculation with solar panels. On the positive side, the balance of energy to produce a solar panel vs the amount of energy the panel produces seems to be tipping in the right direction finally. They are not yet a panacea, however. http://www.kcet.org/news/rewire/solar/photovoltaic-pv/solar-industry-now-net-energy-provider.html
G+_Jake Overton
This is very interesting. I lived in Holland, and it is one of the least sunny places in Europe. When it is nice, it is very nice, and in the summer it stays light well beyond 11pm, but it is more often overcast and rainy than it is sunny. There is a reason the Dutch go to the coast of Spain for holiday.
