Hi Guys, just found this group today, as I just started watching "Know How..." Wanted to ask a question. I have been flying a Syma X5C for a bit now, and am ready to upgrade. Would like to budget build one big enough to carry a gopro. Do you guys have recommendations on where to start with this project?

Build a 450 class, learn to fly it, then add the gopro.

The Syma > 250/450 is a jump in flying.

(the 250 can carry a gopro according to the Padre, if I remember correctly.  But it will struggle a bit)

Take Eddie Foy 's advice if the end result is that you want to start making cool videos and you don't intend to be a stunt pilot.

If however you just think it'll be cool to strap a camera to a quad for a laugh, go the 250 route. The 250 build will blow the syma away and I've found that I lost all interest in taking video once I started throwing it around in loops and high speed turns. It's also less likely to break on ground impact than a 450 judging by the feedback on this forum. Either way you are in for a snot load of fun :o)
