G+_Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ
Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: Yes, it's possible. Helpful answer: Yes it's possible, but it's not a given. It depends on what hooks the router manufacturer has added into their firmware. On the other hand, you could probably use a RasPi to do it quite nicely. G+_Daniel Armstrong
One of the benefits of 3rd party firmware, my WRT54GS can be put in wireless client mode and act as a wireless to Ethernet bridge. I have even used it before when the DSL was down.
G+_Cole Brodine
I bought the Asus Router that Fr. Robert Ballecer, SJ showed on Know How previously, and it has a feature to fall back on a 3G/4G USB Modem. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a neat option. G+_Stephen Hart
If you had an old laptop and attached 2 usb wireless dongles - 1 to receive a signal from the phone and the other to broadcast it from a software router or built-in sharing feature.
