G+_Alex Martinez
I been trying to figure this out on my computer . I reformatted my windows 7 pro a ton of times but for some reason every time in chrome when im going to my all my bank sites it takes a long time to load the site and on the bottom of the browser it says "establishing a secure connection" then i get the padlock thats red that the site is not secure. and i look into the details it says this for all the bank sites" This page is not secure. Certificate Error There are issues with the site's certificate chain (net::ERR_CERT_UNABLE_TO_CHECK_REVOCATION)" Any other sites i go to that requires https it works fine just the bank sites im getting this. i just did a clean install and just installed all the software from ninite. oh and in firefox im not getting any errors. Really confused if im safe using my bank accounts or somethings going on .

G+_Akira Yamanita
There's a certificate revocation list (CRL) that is hosted by the certificate authority. If a browser is setup to check the CRL, it will fail to connect if it can't access it. The CRL is accessed over HTTP. I've seen content filtering mistakenly block some of these sites. Are you running any kind of content filtering, Internet security software, OpenDNS, or anything else that might mistakenly block the URL of the CRL? G+_Steve Martin
When you made those changes, did you restart the browser?
G+_Akira Yamanita
It looks like Chrome is a little different and uses a downloaded CRLSet. Open chrome://components and check for an update to the CRLSet. Mine is at version 2841.
G+_Ben Reese
Might also check date/time on your machine. Certs are only valid for a limited time and your system may be out of that range.
