G+_Jeffrey Morrill
Does anyone know any sites that really dive into Mac Automator? Thank you.
G+_Eddie Foy
Its pretty straight forward. What questions you have? Keep in mind its much more limited in scope then AppleScript when interacting with other apps.
G+_Jeffrey Morrill
I'm looking for video processing, metadata, file organization. I'm looking for a website that list out some recipes.
G+_Eddie Foy
Video processing? Like transcoding? It has a limited actions for that (Apple like their stuff.) If you want to trim, pad, merge, etc, you will need external help. Metadata on video? Don't see any of that either. I don't use Automator all that much, I find myself at a dead end fast, or calling an applescript (which can usually do it all without Automator) typically. I usually hang out in AppleScript, especially if the external apps have AS hooks. Makes life SO much easier. File organization, that should be fairly easy to do and better in Automator then AS. http://www.macosxautomation.com/automator/tutorial-01.html
