G+_Jeff Gros
Looks interesting for sure. I've been searching around cannot find anything that talks about it in detail. I have a ton of questions. They said it was non volatile, which would mean that it wouldn't require refresh cycles. What materials are used to hold the charge such that it doesn't leak and also doesn't wear the material at each write? The very brief wikipedia page says it does not use electric charge, which would explain this. FRAM records a 1 or 0 by changing the orientation of the atom. 3D XPoint could be doing something similar. Is the read destructive? FRAM has this problem and requires a refresh after performing a read. Interesting indeed.
G+_Jeff Gros
Waaay to many syllables in the name though. "three dee cross point". Too long. All the other technologies I can think of have 2 or less. They need to change the name. I limit my technologies to 3 syllables or less! ;)
