G+_John Sullivan
Has anyone built the Oscilloscope project? I bought the kit, and was soldering in the first few resistors last night, and started thinking Why am I doing this? The board came with the ICs already mounted .. how do I know that they are good? Why spend hours soldering parts on this board only to find out it's defective? And then what? return it? exchange it? Will the manufacturer take it back? lol ... I think I"ll wait until Padre finishes his ... the price on this board was so low .. like they say, if it's too good to be true ...
G+_Armando Perez
I bought one also. I also bought a (12864 Mega328 ESR Transistor Resistor Diode Capacitor Mosfet Tester w/ Test hook) from Amazon, in order to test the parts before soldering. I found some capacitors that were out of acceptable tolerance. So i ordered them from Amazon (joe knows electronics). Hope this helps.
G+_John Sullivan
Thanks ... I'll be waiting for your post when you finish the build, to see whether it actually works or not. -----Original Message---
G+_David Galloway
I built the one from eBay that had a few very large scale integration chips already on board and I built it. It actually works good for a cheap o'scope. I checked it against my own oscilloscope and it is actually pretty decent.
G+_John Sullivan
Ok, finished it and powered it up ... it actually works! Right now trying to figure out how to put the case together... lots of plastic parts but no instructions ... looks like there might be extra panels .. maybe fits more than one model?
