G+_Richard Stroffolino
Anyone have experience with those pc-on-a-stick devices that run android? Thought about picking one up to use as a media server and wanted to know how the Rockchip SoCs performed
G+_Giuseppe Dionisi
Performance is pretty good. Most tablet and phone apps work well. The only downside is that Android was built from the ground up for touch, so using a keyboard and mouse takes some getting used to. Streaming is smooth in Netflix, Plex, YouTube, etc. Some people complain about wireless signal being weak or dropping all together. I have not had this problem. Perhaps they solved the problem or maybe I just got a good one. For the price, it's worth getting one just to play around with. I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/Computer-Dual-core-Android-RK3066-ownshop/dp/B009PJ3AZ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363971237&sr=8-1&keywords=mini+pc
G+_John Mink
i've been trying to find a good one, I've found about half a dozen so far...I'd love to see performance reviews or some sort of comparison.
G+_Richard Stroffolino
Yeah I was looking for a benchmark for a RK3188 device to see if its as decent as it looks on paper. Wish Anandtech or someone with similar diligence would do a review/roundup
