The "M.A.M.E" NES rig, as cool as it is, it doesn't fall into the category of a M.A.M.E.  M.A.M.E is used to emulate the games you find at the arcade games.  some games that would fall into the M.A.M.E category would be 1941: Counter Attack; Capcom Bowling; Area 51; etc.

I believe that emulators are a key part of keeping a good archive of old games before for they fade into the Aether and are forgotten.
