G+_Jon Papai
This product looks like an interesting approach to energy monitoring. A review would be neat. https://sense.com/ https://sense.com/

G+_Rud Dog
I don't have a room for the engineers and equipment for them to identify signal to consuming appliance, not to mention the cost for setup. Unless they will create a huge library which the unit can pair signal with appliance. This warrants some additional info. Off to see if I can find price. G+_Nathan Kraemer
I knew this tech existed, but I didn't think I would see it in the market and in such a small package. I am curious if it will pick-up my neighbors' electronics and if I would be able to segregate it.
G+_Rud Dog
Nathan Kraemer interesting point. Can fluctuations in neighboring power cause false readings on the unit?
G+_John Krupsky
I assume that the developers have built and are refining a library of device power signatures that are used in each Sense Monitor. I would not be surprised if it gets updates via Internet and possibly sends unknown signatures for analysis. Of course, the big energy users in a home would get the most developer attention. G+_Ben Reese
This is a really interesting product. It can simultaneously detect changes in amperage draw and the electrical frequency created by each appliance. That combination should allow it to learn the unique frequency of all the appliances. Like, most refrigerators probably draw close to the same power when running and emit similar signals. Hmmm... It would be cool if they let you setup rules and alerts. Like, "let me know when the dryer stops" or "send me an alert when the oven is preheated".
G+_Scott W
Ben Reese From what I have read about it, and the reason I am looking to get one is for just that, you should be able to set alerts when the wash is done, garage door open etc.
