G+_Bill Paulmenn
In reference to the review if the Synology Rt2600 router, I have a quick question. I currently run pfsense in my house on a HP n54l and my time to tinker is starting to dwindle. If I add extra storage for intrusion detection to the 2600 is it worth the switch for and easier interface and lower power rating. I use pfsense for ID with snort and Openvpn . I currently have 3 access points on cat 6 all with the same ssid and would integrate the 2600 into the wifi in the center of the house and remove one AP. I could use the synology`s easy reporting and configuration to make sure my network and family is safe at a glance. My time is more valuable than the $230 bucks but I wanted the groups opinion 1st. G+_Rud Dog
I am also looking for new router as the RT-AC87u from Asus has a mysterious loss of connection. First from Wifi now entire network goes down. Reboot brings it back up for about 4-5 hours. So would be interested on how the Rt2600 router is rated by the community. G+_Travis Hershberger
I got Ubiquity equipment for work and the house, wouldn't go back to anything less now. It's a little more complicated to setup, but nothing a KITA should have an issue with.
